Khalifa foundation distributes food baskets in Sierra Leone

The Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation, with the supervision of the UAE Embassy in Senegal, has distributed food baskets to underprivileged families in Sierra Leone as part of a comprehensive programme currently being implemented in many countries around the world.

An official source from the Khalifa Foundation said that through this programme, it has distributed more than 700 food baskets to families and orphanages in the capital city of Freetown and other cities.

The distribution was organised in the presence of a representative of the UAE Embassy in Dakar, the Chairman and representatives of the Union of Muslims in Sierra Leone, representatives of the Ministry of Social Affairs and a number of Imams and officials. The beneficiaries and officials who attended thanked the President, His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the UAE people and the Khalifa Foundation for their kind gesture which reaffirms the country’s keenness on alleviating their suffering.
