Lebanese NGOs hail efforts of UAE RCS

ABU DHABI — Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) hailed the efforts exerted by the UAE Red Crescent to support the Lebanese people during their ordeal following Israeli attacks and atrocities against their country.

Leading figures and NGO representatives in Lebanon hailed the role of the UAE RCS to save and support the people who suffered as a result of the Israeli attacks in the southern villages.

"What the UAE provided to our people is a commendable example of cooperation that reflects the strength of our bilateral relations," said former Lebanese MP, Mohamed Bergawi.

The President of the Arab-Lebanese Societies Union, Edris Al Saleh, stressed on the importance of the joint work in support of the displaced Lebanese. "More than 500,000 Lebanese people thronged Beirut seeking a temporary shelter to avoid the Israeli raids," Al Saleh added.
