Leading figures and NGO representatives in Lebanon hailed the role of the UAE RCS to save and support the people who suffered as a result of the Israeli attacks in the southern villages.

"What the UAE provided to our people is a commendable example of cooperation that reflects the strength of our bilateral relations," said former Lebanese MP, Mohamed Bergawi.

The President of the Arab-Lebanese Societies Union, Edris Al Saleh, stressed on the importance of the joint work in support of the displaced Lebanese. "More than 500,000 Lebanese people thronged Beirut seeking a temporary shelter to avoid the Israeli raids," Al Saleh added.
