The pan-European property group Heron International has launched the two luxury penthouses at The Heron, the final apartments in the development to come to market.
Over 98 per cent of the apartments have now been sold at The Heron, which sits in the City's cultural quarter, adjacent to The Barbican.
The project is located in the City of London and the area recorded 8 per cent growth in price during 2016 and more than 120 per cent growth in the last 10 years, according to property consultancy Savills.
Around 60 per cent of the project is owners occupied and the remaining 40 per cent is investments for rentals, according to the developer.
It is the largest residential project in the square mile for over 30 years, comprising 285 apartments spread across 36 floors. The lower floors provide new facilities for the Guildhall School of Music & Drama.
"The penthouses at The Heron are unlike any other property on the market in the City, offering unparalleled space, service and specification, as well as exceptional views across the capital," commented Lisa Ronson, commercial director at Heron International.
Ronson added: "The Heron is now 98 per cent sold, a clear indication of the high level of demand to buy in the Square Mile and, with average property prices rising, this activity is likely to increase, as end-users and investors alike look to capitalise on the renaissance of the City."
The penthouses offer quality, specification and views currently unrivalled in London, according to its developer.
Measuring respectively 6,000 sq ft with four bedrooms and four bathrooms and 4,000 sq ft with three bedrooms and three bathrooms, both properties have triple-aspect views across London from double-height spaces with floor-to-ceiling glass. On the upper level, they have retractable roofs and the space for a gym and screening room.
The penthouses have been highly specified throughout to include polished Sahara Noir marble floors, Boffi kitchens with Bianco quartz stone and Gaggeneau appliances and dark smoky quartz and black granite in the master bathrooms.
All those living at The Heron will have access to a private residents' club with lounge, gym, screening room, meeting rooms and landscaped roof garden, as well as valet parking and a concierge service.
The developer said that it was a complex project for the company as it took a long time to convince neighbours. They were worried about the views and other things, the developer said.
