The video shows a bowl of cooked noodles, with pink and brown marks on one particular noodle strand.

Now, the Dubai Municipality in a statement on social media, has denied the presence of any worms or other foreign substances in the noodles.

Iman Al Bastaki, Director of Food Safety Department at Dubai Municipality, has asked the general public not to circulate these videos as they only create confusion and panic, and advised people to directly approach authorities.

Regarding the Indomie rumour, the department said it was from an unknown and unreliable source. The Food Safety Department at Dubai Municipality confirmed that it has advanced supervisory procedures to ensure the food safety and quality when importing or manufacturing any product as well as while through its presence in stores and markets.

A specialized team from the Food Safety Department has investigated this matter, and they confirmed that there were no reports or complaints regarding this product, whether worms or others.

This response comes under DM's initiative that was launched by the municipality that aims to reduce the rumors and inaccurate information spread through social media and other means of communication.
