NOBODY encourages divorce nor rewards those who go for it, but eventually it is a fait accompli and an inescapable fact of life.
We are, however, not at this point to deliver a sermon, but we find that the Marriage Fund actually needs to revise the clause which prohibits giving the grant to the divorced who want to tie the nuptial knot. The grant, as it stands, is only given to those who are on the verge of getting married for the first time, even if those divorced had not taken the grant for their first marriage.
Since the grant is given only once to those who want to tie the knot, why can’t the same be given to the divorced, who might have failed in their first marriage due to various factors, but might succeed the second time. As family bonds were broken once, the new couple could make a fresh start and succeed in maintaining the sacred bond, to lead a happy married life.
