Nischal gave correct answers to all questions thrown at him simultaneously by eight different people on mathematics. And that, without using a calculator, or a pen or piece of paper. He also demonstrated his impressive memory skills by reading 100-digit numbers written on the board forward and reverse without looking at it.
He played chess with his eyes blindfolded and made all the right moves on the strength of his memory. He showed the mathematical laboratory developed by him which helps primary students to learn mathematics easily.
"I was always interested in mathematics. Two years ago, I started to learn more about it and my teachers taught me using different technics which helped me maximise my memory power. My parents gave me good support and I spent my time learning more and more about mathematics," said Nischal, a grade 5 student in Gethanjali School in Hydrabad.
"Andhra government has recommended my name to the Guinness Book of World Records for the youngest mathematics author and I am looking forward to it. My aim is to be a mathematician and I hope to be successful one day," he added.
His mother, Dr Padmavathy, said: "When he was a small child, he always showed interest in mathematics. When we realised it, we gave him proper training and he responded well. He spent most of his time learning about mathematics and he always tried to develop his own theories."
Meanwhile, various UAE-based artistes participated in the programme which was organised by Rasamayi - Andhra Cultural Forum.
