Over 700 paramedics and at least 98 ambulances from the Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services (DCAS) will work round-the-clock over the upcoming Eid holidays.
On an average, response and intervention for patients is targeted in less than seven minutes.
As many as 98 ambulance vans manned by 708 medics will be on alert during the Eid break, said Khalifa bin Darai, CEO of DCAS.
Instructions have also been issued to the in-charge of the ambulance operations an emergency ambulance section to be on standby for emergencies.

Khalifa said paramedics, who are provided with sophisticated and well equipped ambulance vans, are available at the areas that are heavily congested by traffic and overcrowded during Eid break such as parks, open entertainment gardens, shopping malls, beaches and heritage landmarks to ensure quick response if needed.
Paramedics, who will work round-the-clock, will also be accompanied by medics from technical emergency medicine.
"A total of 98 ambulance vans, three ambulance buses and three supporting and back up vehicles have been deployed to cater for any emergencies," said Khalifa.
"The ambulance buses serve as mobile hospitals to take in mass injuries and conduct first aid if needed."
An intensive care unit vehicle will also be deployed to tackle the emergency cases, he added.
All paramedics and other staff at these places are multi-national and speak Arabic, English and other Asian languages.
"Paramedics speak different languages which help them cope with patients with ease."
The ambulance vans are also equipped with latest medical apparatuses that deal with fractures, accident injuries and casual incidents.
The corporation has also provided four-wheel drive vehicles (quad bikes) for desert areas and for use alongside beaches.
"Quad bikes have been deployed to move easily and quickly in narrow alleys and overcrowded areas. Also available are special vehicles for child and maternity cases," he said.
The paramedics can handle urgent and emergency cases such as heart attacks, difficulty in breathing, high sugar levels, blood pressure, unconsciousness and issues related to pregnant women among others.
