The two-day conference on "The Journalism of the Internet... Reality and Challenges’ to be held on November 22 and 23 is part of the University's concern over reviving and boosting means of cooperation between the academic institutions and society and link the Scientific Research centres to the ground works. It also aims at keeping in line with the latest developments in the field of technology, communication, information, monitoring of history and the challenges and future of the online journalism in the GCC and other Arab states. It is also designed to promote cultural ties between the Arab and GCC academic institutions.
Professors and experts in information and mass media at the Arab and foreign universities will take part in the conference. Chief editors and editors of the newspapers in the Arab states and GCC, media production institutions and multimedia, dailies, e-magazines as well as companies dealing in the field of IT, software, journalists trade unions, communications organisations in the GCC, Dubai Internet City and Dubai Media City will also take part in the conference.
