According to the organisers, in line with the rules necessary for application, results and reports should be submitted on or before September 20, 2004. The ones that are received after the due date will not be considered. The community members have also been asked to ensure that the forwarded report page(s) are complete and the name of the child, school, grade or class are clearly visible. Decision of the organising committee shall be considered final.
Children who have completed Hifzul Quran after September 2003 will be felicitated and awarded a special prize on submission of appropriate evidence from their school/madressah.
In other categories, students of class one to graduation securing 80 per cent aggregate or above will be felicitated and given prizes. Marks will be calculated as per the following formula: “A+” 95 per cent marks, “A” 90 per cent marks, “B+” 85 per cent marks, “B” 80 per cent marks, “C+” 75 per cent marks, “C” 70 per cent marks, “D” 60 per cent marks and “E” 50 per cent marks. Only those having passed their final examination held this year will be considered eligible. Marks obtained in Physical Education, Art and Drawings will not be included in the aggregate.
The organisers said that a special talent award would be presented each to a boy and a girl, considered to have achieved highest excellence in academics. Appropriate recognition certificate or prize/trophy in the field of education awarded by recognised institution should be provided, they said.
They requested those who wish to contribute cash towards the cost of prize items to contact any member of the organising committee.
“Receiving prize from a dignitary in the presence of a large audience makes children happy and motivates them and others to make more efforts and achieve better results,” said a member of the organising committee.
