Khaleej Times first reported today morning that Safwan Ahmed Khan, a Grade 7 student of Dubai Scholars, went missing on Sunday afternoon after coming back from school along with his sister at 2.30pm. Though he reached the building along with other school fellows, Safwan stayed behind and disappeared from the lobby before taking the elevator to his apartment in Al Khan area.

According to the worried parents, Safwan was probably scared to return home after he had a small altercation with another child in his school. “I learnt that something happened in school but that was small,” Abida, Safwan’s mother told Khaleej Times. “He might have got scared and decided not to come home,” she said.

Safwan was wearing his school uniform - a dark blue T-shirt and beige pants – when he went missing. He was not carrying any cash or phone. His father Tariq Ahmed Khan had also lodged a complaint with the Buhairah police station.
