The officials were also briefed on the mechanism to enter the data of grade 12 students, as last year, several flaws had been detected in the keying in of the data and results of students of both government and private schools.

Aysha Al Murri, deputy director of Public Education at the MoE, said an e-mail address had specially been created to receive inputs, observations and enquiries about the mechanism of the new e-system for monitoring of results.

She said that a computer coordinator would be available at each educational zone to sort out any difficulties faced by schools in the process of data entry.

She further pointed out that some minor changes had been introduced in the continued assessment system for secondary schools this year. “Schools can have first-hand information on them through the ministry’s web site,” she said.
