Sharjah - Dh18 million roads are built at three different areas

Spending Dh18 million, a number of new internal roads have been built at three different areas in Sharjah, according to a senior official on Monday.
Eng. Sheikha Al Zuwein, contract manager at SRTA, on Monday said that the SRTA has completed the internal roads extending over 7km at the Al Dhaid City in Al Husn, Al Bustan, and Al Taiba areas.
"The project comprises two-lane roads in the Al Husn extending over 2.3km area against Dh6.7 million; in the Al Bustan area extending over 2.5km against Dh5.8 million and Al Taiba area internal roads over 2.4km against Dh5.8 million," she added.
The 7.3m wide roads include gravel head shoulders that are 2.5m wide on both sides of the roads, apart from interlock entrances for cars opposite the residential buildings.
The new roads, meant to enhance public safety and security, are in line with the directions of His Highness Dr. Shaikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, Eng. Al Zuwein said.
