Music treat in store for Filipinos tonight

Dubbed "Tanging (One and Only) Ai-Ai in Dubai", the four-hour show will be a fine mix of comedy, music and dance. Gates open at 5pm and the show commences at 8pm, according to Meri-An Malmis, producer and organiser of the show.

Ai-Ai de las Alas, a co-host in a popular noontime TV show, "MTB (Magandang Tanghali Bayan) - Ang Saya Saya", recently won the best actress in the 20th Star Awards for Movies for her performance in "Ang Tanging Ina" (One and Only Mother) where she portrayed a woman widowed several times and left with a dozen kids to raise. It was the first time that a comedienne won the best actress award. She bested dramatic actresses Sharon Cuneta (Crying Ladies), Ara Mina (Huling Birhen), Zsa Zsa Padilla (Mano Po 2), Maricel Soriano (Filipinas) and Lorna Tolentino (Magnifico).

Rica Peralejo, meanwhile, is set to sizzle onstage with her songs and dance moves.

Ai-Ai already shares a special rapport with Alan K. Ai-Ai, who's back on her feet once again on the concert scene this year quit "Sing-Galing" show, which she earlier co-hosted with Alan K., another veteran of the sing-along circuit. Alan has also resigned from the show and joined Jaya in GMA 7's K. Videoke Challenge.
