The conference will be inaugurated by His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. It will also be attended by Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.
This was announced yesterday in a Press conference.
Stressing the significance of the conference, Belal Al Bodour, executive manager for arts and culture at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Community Development, said, “This will provide a forum for government and private sector representatives to discuss some of the serious issues related to national identity in the country and come up with recommendations to enhance the same.
“We will be discussing methods to preserve and enhance the language (Arabic) and the ways to implement them with Patrice Poli, French Ambassador to the UAE. We would also discuss political, social and cultural advancement with the UAE experts.”
Over 1,000 people, including top officials of the ministries, councils and local government departments, and CEOs from a large number of international corporates in the emirate, are expected to participate.
The conference will be hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Community Development and will be held at Emirates Palace hotel in Abu Dhabi.
