MWL Secretary General stressed the need for unrestricted delivery of humanitarian aid to the Palestinians by opening all crossings
Dr Saeed Abdullah bin Ishaq, Director of Quality at the MoH, said that new portal has been designed keeping in mind easy and organised accessibility. “The portal is interlinked with the e-government portals connecting all federal ministries.”
The Minister of Health, Humaid Al Quttami, said, “The new portal will be self-serving single-contact source for all health services for the people of the UAE.”
“The portal will provide several services which will be available through a highly secure login ID and password for various interest groups in health services. The Health Information System will be integrated with the portal at a later stage which will provide an increased accessibility of information without geographical boundaries,” he added. “The characteristics of the MoH web site are not transactional, because the web site aims at providing information,” said Dr Ishaq.
The new web site will be bilingual (both English and Arabic), he added. “The new web site will integrate services also available on the older web site including licensing for pharmacies, list of government hospitals in the UAE, health statistics and information on Continuous Medical Education.”
