With the latest iPhone update - iOS 13.2, Apple workers will be able to listen in to users' conversations recorded by Siri. Apple is resuming the use of humans who will review Siri commands and dictation unless users opt out or delete them.
After users opposed the use of humans to review the audio, citing it was breach of their privacy, Apple suspended the practice In August. But, Apple has once again started to use humans as according to tech companies the practice helps them to improve their artificial intelligence services.
The latest update, iOS 13.2 is giving consumers a notice when installing the update, allowing them to choose 'Not Now' to decline audio storage and review, reported Daily Mail. Apple also specifies that Siri data is not associated with a user's Apple ID.
Privacy experts consider the use of humans to listen to audio recordings troubling because it increases the chances of private details or sensitive conversations being leaked.
