ABU DHABI - The Abu Dhabi Municipality has started building 400 residential units and 230 farms in the new Al Adlah Township, opposite the Zayed Military City in Ashab area.
The project comes under the directives of the President, His Highness Shaikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, and is closely followed up by Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.
Land has already been leveled to set up 220 farms. Phase 1 of the project includes the construction of 200 housing units, of which 10 buildings containing 100 units have already been built. All necessary services are provided with the master plan showing construction of two mosques with a capacity for 700 worshippers, two nurseries, a primary school and other public utilities.
The project, which lies along Al Faya Road, is sub-divided into two lots each of 100 units.
A mosque, nursery and garden lie in between as well as a clinic and school compound.
The road plan of the new township contains construction of main roads to serve the farms and housing area. Some 12km out of 18km of these roads have been completed.
An 8km internal road network is to be constructed in six months with the main road expected to be completed by next December.
