The meeting came as divisions grow in Europe over the proposed tariffs

Nivin Pauly's Sakhavu, now playing at theatres in the UAE, sees the actor scale a new level in a film that charts the communist movement in Kerala. Directed by Siddharth Siva, the film weaves a gritty drama about the party's growth - how it struck its roots through grassroots level action - and how a few from the younger generation see politics and the party as easy conduits to riches.
For Nivin, the film is a true triumph as he graduates from doing the boy-next-door roles to characters with complex shades and set in different time zones. While there have been three back-to-back political films centered on leftist ideology reaching theatres in the past months, Sakhavu would stand out for its intellectual honesty and almost documentary like exploration of the lives of committed leaders, who lived and died in valiant honour.
Intelligently weaving comedy in the first half and then shifting to serious mode, the film also stars Aishwarya Rajesh, Aparna Gopinath, Sreenivasan, Renji Panicker and Althaf Salim, among others.
Catch Nivin Pauly at Khalidiya Mall tonight at 9 where a special screening of Sakhavu will be held.
