Novel way to teach English

A specific number of schools had been chosen for the trials. The new technique would be introduced in all schools shortly, said Shahla. Under new method, English is taught through simple games as students, during the early stages, find it difficult to learn how to read and write English in regular way.

At a workshop organised by Dubai Educational Zone, which was attended by a large number of English teachers, Shahla presented her new method of introducing English to beginners. She said the old style should be changed to encourage children to learn and stimulate them to give the best and get to love the subject. The condition of the game is that it should be a group game, and the game chosen is considered as a reward to encourage students to enhance their performance.

Meanwhile, Rasheeda Al Badri, Deputy Manager of Dubai Educational Zone for Private Education, said that the new experiment would witness a quick learning of the English language among young students, adding that she was reviewing a proposal to hold a workshop by Shahla Matter for English teachers of private schools.
