Dubai - Kavi Sammelan and Mushaira, an annual event, will showcase the rich Indian cultural heritage in Dubai

The 15th edition of Kavi Sammelan and Mushaira will mark the Indian Republic Day, on January 26, at the Sheikh Rashid Auditorium in Dubai, which will be attended by dignitaries, scholars and poets of repute.
Syed Salahuddin, Event Founder and Chief Organiser, will be the host. People from all walks of life and nationalities in Dubai will get a chance to experience the rich Indian cultural heritage on this occasion. The event also coincides with the Dubai Shopping Festival for the 15th consecutive year, and underscores the fraternity and cooperation between India and the UAE.
Rajesh Raina, Group Editor ETV News Network, India, along with Hemant Tiwari, Senior Journalist and Mohammed Atiq, Chairman Majlis-e-Frogh-e-Urdu Adab, Doha, Qatar, will be the chief guest for the event.
It is a great honour that ambassadors, consul generals, justices, union ministers, bureaucrats, eminent social workers and artists such as M F Hussain, Farooq Sheikh and hundreds of Hindi and Urdu poets had been part of this event since 2003.
A rich trilingual souvenir of more than 175 pages will be published, which will also include the latest poetry of the participating poets. This is meant to highlight the significance of the National Day in a festive manner.
Eminent Hindi and Urdu poets will enlighten the upcoming event and enthral the audience. They are Dr Uday Pratap Singh, Dr Pirzada Qasim, Anwar Jalapuri, Dr Majid Dewbandi, Dr Kalim Qaiser, Dr Sagar Tripathi, Mamta Sharma, Dr Nusrat Mehdi, Rahi Bastavi, Sarvesh Asthana, Ana Dehlvi, Altamash Abbas and Shahzad Ahmed.
