Office hours of Ajman traffic department extended

The work hours of the Traffic and Licensing Department of the Ajman Police have been extended to provide better services to the public.

From today, the department, giving services like issuing vehicle licences and driver’s licences, will work from 7.30am to 8pm, Saturday to Thursday. Earlier, the office was open only from 9am to 4pm.

Lt-Colonel Ali Humaid, Head of the department, said the office hours have been extended to provide better services to more motorists in view of the increasing demand.

He said on average, the department, which has over 200 employees, handles 1,786 paper works and serves 418 people everyday and that the services follow international specifications and standards.

It has three waiting halls with a total area of 1,674 square foot for men and four halls for women in area of 555 square foot. It also has 43 counters, including one for people with special needs.
