Pak embassy ties up with TCS for I-cards

ABU DHABI - The Embassy of Pakistan has inked an agreement with TCS Express, a courier service, for swift delivery of the new National Identity Card for Overseas Pakistanis (Nicop) living in the emirate of Abu Dhabi.

The agreement was signed by Shakeel Asghar, Head of Chancery, Pakistan Embassy, and Shariq Mahmood, General Manager, TCS Express. Applicants will not be required to pay any additional amount for the service apart from the card fee of Dh56. The card will be valid for 10 years.

The TCS Express will receive Dh4 per card as delivery charges from National Database and Registration Authority (Nadra), the agency responsible for issuing identity cards.

Since the introduction of Nicop scheme, the Embassy has so far sent 18,350 application forms to Nadra for issuance of new identity cards.
