In a bid to woo international tourists, Pakistan announced it is considering visa on arrival for 55 countries.
Addressing a press conference on Tuesday, Adviser to the Prime Minister for Commerce and Investment Abdul Razak Dawood, said that discussions were on and policy was being formulated to allow visa on arrival for 55 countries.
Dawood added that once the policy is place, it will be presented to Prime Minister Imran Khan in January 2019, according to reports in Geo TV. "We will also consult the country's security institutions regarding the matter," he said.
Stressing that Pakistan needs tourism, Dawood said that the government will do whatever is in the interest of the country.
In January, Pakistan announced visa on arrival for group tourists for 24 countries including the US and UK.
