Pakistani female singer, actress 'shot dead' by husband

Peshawar - Police complaint accuses her husband of killing her.

A Pakistani Pashto stage actress and singer, Resham, was allegedly shot dead by her estranged husband in the Nowshera Kalan locality of Nowshera district on Wednesday.
Speaking to The Express Tribune, a police officer said that the singer-actress's brother, Obaidullah, lodged a police complaint accusing Resham's husband Fayda Khan of killing her.
Khan has been living and working outside the country due to an ongoing domestic dispute between the couple. But according to the FIR filed Obaidullah, Khan had recently returned to the country and had convinced his wife to visit his ailing father.
Obaidullah further claimed that when Resham and Khan did not return, he went to her residence and found her body.
Resham was a popular stage actress and singer who performed in the country and abroad.
