Palazzo Versace is on schedule to complete its Dubai development by the end of 2009, officials at the Arabian Travel Market said yesterday.

Palazzo Versace signifies the first combination of developers and fashion houses with the launch of the Gold Coast property.

Dubai will be the second in the brand with 13 more developments worldwide on the way.

Rochelle Gomes, Palazzo Versace Sales and Marketing Group Director, said it was difficult to estimate which segments of tourists would frequent the hotel the most.

“We expect a very high Russian component, an Indian component and a British component,” Gomes said.

“Because we are so close to all key markets and feeder markets, we are aiming to attract all of them.”

The hotel will have 213 suites ranging from 55sqm to the 1,400sqm Imperial Suite.

Palazzo Versace Gold Coast has also seen its fair share of royalty and celebrities, including Kate Hudson, Prince Albert of Monaco and Anthony Hopkins.
