Palestinian honour for Juma Al Majid

DUBAI — Juma Al Majid, a local businessman, has been bestowed with the "Al Quds Order of the First Degree" by the Palestinian Minister of Islamic Affairs and Auqaf, Yousif Jumaa Salama on behalf of Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas. The award was presented to Juma Al Majid — in appreciation of his support for the Palestinian cause — at a special ceremony held in Dubai on Monday in the presence of local dignitaries.

"We have brothers who do not hesitate for a moment to support the Palestinian people, like Jumaa Al Majid, whose grants continue to support the Palestinian struggle," said Saleem Abu Sultan, Palestinian Consul for Public Affairs.

A total of Dh67 million was received as donations from Palestinian expatriates residing in the UAE for their people in Palestine, Abu Sultan disclosed.
