DUBAI - A team of Palestinian photographers and journalists shared with students of the American University in Dubai (AUD), their experiences and dangers faced during the coverage of events in the occupied territories (Ramallah).
The meeting, held at the invitation of AUD's Palestinian Club, was organised to mark the opening of the Intifada Photography Exhibition at the university recently. Abbas Al Momani, photographer from the French News Agency, Ahmed Amro and Haitham Amro, described the difficult and dangerous task during the period of strife and bloodshed related to the Intifada, when their lives were in constant danger.
Around 250 pictures and a VCD carrying a series of pictures taken during the Palestinian Intifada were on display. In addition to the Photography exhibition, the AUD Health Centre organised in collaboration with a group of specialists a conference entitled 'Drugs and Narcotics Hazards'.
