Fathi Mohammed Sayegh, Government Relation Officer at the Dubai Islamic Insurance and Reinsurance Company (Aman), told Khaleej Times on Tuesday that some people were not still aware about the insurance counters at the DNRD.
"There are some people who come to apply for entry permits but they do not know that DNRD is providing the travel health insurance cover service. Some of them, who have already bought the insurance covers, regret when they come to know about our prices and quality services," Sayegh pointed out.
According to Sayegh, an average of 200 travel health insurance policies are being issued on a daily basis by the Aman counter at DNRD. An average of 300 travel insurance policies are being issued every day by the Oman Insurance company at its counter at the department. The two insurance counters are open throughout the daily working hours at DNRD — from 7.30am to 8pm.
Oman and Aman insurance companies are also planning to provide the service at the DNRD's external branches in Abu Hail, Jebel Ali Free Zone, Dubai International Airport, Dnata Passport Section on Shaikh Zayed Road, Umm Suqeim, and Bin Sougat.
