The Ajaaj is on show in his new format at Character Dubai, the UAE’s first character and licensing fair which began at the Dubai International Convention & Exhibition Centre on Tuesday.
The Watani programme recently forged a new partnership with Blinks Studios, a Dubai-based animation production house, to develop and produce the new version of Ajaaj for telecast.
The Ajaaj television series is expected to launch on local and international television channels in 2010 as a leading Arabic series which is expected to attract a large viewership.
The Watani programme is currently developing strategic partnerships with international broadcasting networks, licensing and distribution companies.
“We are proud that Ajaaj can compete on the same playing field as other intellectual properties such as superheroes in the world, in terms of content and animation.
“We are hoping characters such as Ajaaj will open the door for more effective methods of communication with the younger generation, besides providing pure entertainment,” said Watani Director-General Ahmed Al Mansoori.
