The Dubai Police have honoured three children, who participated as volunteers in the largest Iftar organised by the police.
Major-General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of the Dubai Police, honoured 10-year-old Sultan and his siblings Nahyan, 9, and Anoud Mohsen Al Amri, 7, who volunteered in organising the 'largest Iftar' for 12,830 workers at Dubai Industrial City in Jebel Ali on Friday. Maj-Gen Al Marri praised the effort of the children and presented gifts to them.
The children expressed their happiness in the recognition, stressing that their participation in the event came with the support of their father.
The Dubai Police organised the Iftar, which broke a Guinness World Record with the participation of more than 35 restaurants and 500 volunteers.
The preparation of the Iftar initiative took 200 hours. Additional meals were distributed to the labour accommodations in the neigbourhood.
The Iftar also saw the participation of some of diplomatic missions including, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, India, China and the Philippines.
