ABU DHABI — Minor traffic accidents and lots for impounded vehicles in Abu Dhabi will be handled by private companies, as part of a privatisation project to be launched soon, according to a senior officer.
Colonel Hamad Adeel Al Shamsi, Director of Traffic and Patrols Department in Abu Dhabi, said the move was aimed at providing advanced services to the public.
In the case of minor accidents, a private company would be chosen to handle the procedures like paper work for insurance claims under the supervision of the Traffic Department. This would also make it easier for people involved in such accidents who can complete the procedures fast.
