Rate-cuts and raffles in Inter-Con summer pack

DUBAI - The InterContinental Hotels Group UAE yesterday launched its 2003 UAE summer programme across its InterContinental, Crowne Plaza and Holiday Inn brands, bringing in a wide range of benefits tailor-made for UAE residents, local businesses and Privilege Club members.

Addressing a Press conference to launch the programme at Intercontinental Dubai, Thomas Rowntree, Regional Director of Sales and Marketing, InterContinental Hotels Group UAE, announced a special room rate of Dh199 for UAE residents at InterContinental Abu Dhabi, InterContinental Dubai, InterContinental Al Ain, Crowne Plaza Abu Dhabi, Crowne Plaza Dubai, Holiday Inn Downtown Dubai and Holiday Inn Bur Dubai.

The offer will be valid from May 1 to September 15.

In addition, Privilege Club members in the UAE, Oman and Qatar will be offered three nights stay for the price of two.

Every guest will be entered into a raffle draw to win a Mazda6, in association with Galadari Automobiles.

Replying to a question, Mr Rowntree said that the group expected the occupancy of all its properties to be within the 70 per cent range.

Meanwhile, the promotion also gives guests who make a reservation before the end of July a chance to win a two-night weekend stay, inclusive of breakfast and lunch or dinner for two in any of the seven UAE InterContinental Hotels Group properties.

Local businesses will receive preferential guest rates from June 1 to August 31 at the InterContinental Hotels and Resorts throughout the UAE.

This special bed and breakfast promotion is valid on existing rates negotiated with each hotel.

Crowne Plaza and Holiday Inn hotels in the country are also offering local corporate guests attractive benefits whereby they can choose from one of the five options during their stay this summer.

These include discounted room rate, upgrade to suite or next available room type, 25 per cent discount on food and beverages, 10-minute international phone call or free Internet access.

As part of the InterContinental Hotels Group UAE Prize Partnership incentive and loyalty programme launched in November 2002, bookers will receive double Prize Partnership points while making reservations in conjunction with the local corporate UAE summer promotions.

The ‘Whole World Half Off' promotion offers Middle East families and individual leisure travellers a 50 per cent or more savings at InterContinental Hotels and Resorts in the region and around the world this summer.

The offer is available seven days a week with prices starting from just $38 per night at the Makkah InterContinental in Saudi Arabia.
