Asim Shahzad, CEO and partner of AM International, shares his journey with Noon.com and its expertise in online retail solutions
This led to the establishment of Royal Smart Electronics, followed by AM International in June 2018. Upon its affiliation with Noon.com, one of the UAE's largest e-commerce platforms, AM International proceeded to procure a variety of consumer goods ranging from electronics, all kinds of mobile accessories to cosmetics, among others.
With a strong team of market experts based in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Egypt and his homeland Pakistan, Shahzad gained a prominent presence on the online shopping platform and earned praise from its founder Mohamed Alabbar, a renowned Emirati entrepreneur best known for establishing Emaar Properties and developing some of the Dubai's iconic structures, such as Burj Khalifa and The Dubai Mall.
"We were among the select few invited by Mohammed Alabbar to an event in 2018 that celebrated top sellers of the year on Noon.com. He had shown appreciation for our company that demonstrated good results and revenue in the market in such a short period of time," Shahzad said. He added that AM International receives rave reviews for its commitment, product availability, consistent quality and affordable prices.
Despite challenging times where a lot of companies are shutting down, AM International has managed to continue its operations and caters to its clients successfully. Now Shahzad looking forward to expand his horizons and recently started a new company, Amson World Technology. He explained that this will focus on e-commerce, IT solutions, games development, customise Android and iOS mobile applications, and website development.
An ambitious individual with a strong interest in diversification, Shahzad said he has set his sights on global expansion and hopes to be on par with competitors such as Amazon in the near future.
"My dream is to be present wherever Noon.com opens branches and continue to provide top-notch support to the organisation," he said.
Shahzad also hopes to win the 'Best Seller of the Year' award, hosted by Noon.com, in the coming year.
