The air display commencing at 3.15pm over the Abu Dhabi Corniche, close to the Hiltonia Beach Club, forms the grand finale of their latest regional tour of the Far and Middle East.

“We are extremely honoured to have the Red Arrows back in Abu Dhabi yet again,” said the Defence Attaché at the British Embassy in Abu Dhabi, David Adams.

“We have happy memories of their last display in Abu Dhabi in 2006, and their magnificent appearance at the Dubai Air Show gave us a taste of what to expect at Thursday’s event,” he added.

The Red Arrows are renowned throughout the world as ambassadors for Great Britain, demonstrating the professional excellence of the UK’s Royal Air Force to millions of people worldwide.

Since the team’s creation in 1965, they have given around 4,000 displays in more than 50 countries.

They also support the British aviation industry by demonstrating the capabilities of British equipment and expertise.

The team’s 2007 overseas tour is sponsored by BAE Systems, Rolls Royce and the UK’s Defence Export Services Organisation.
