The RTA announced its organisational structure which will help the smooth facilitation and function of various departments to collectively work together in order to achieve its objectives.

On the occasion, the new logo of the RTA was unveiled by Mattar Al Tayer, Chairman of the Board and Director of Roads and Transport, RTA.

Ahmed Abdulsalam Kazim, Director of Strategy and Corporate Performance Department at RTA, announced the new organisational structure and practices which is a combination of the work culture adopted from the private sector and various government departments, keeping in mind the rules, regulations and norms of the entity. This is aimed at establishing a synergy in the work environment and will exceed benchmarks of working standards that are set across the world.

Addressing the gathering, Al Tayer noted that new corporate logo has been developed in accordance with RTA's vision of providing safe and smooth transport to everyone.

"With time, people will associate our logo with quality of service, trust and relentless commitment to enhance the transport infrastructure in Dubai," he said.

Kazim noted that for setting up the new organisational structure, the RTA conducted an in-depth research to coordinate the smooth flow of work in all departments.

"Adhering to international standards and norms, the structure will encourage all the employees to act responsibly and perform to the best of their abilities. In the next few years, new agencies will be established according to the provisions of the decree under which the authority was established," he said.

Al Tayer heads the Board of Directors of the authority that consists of four agencies delivering the core services of the organisation. These agencies include Dubai Traffic and Roads, Dubai Transport, Dubai Rail and Dubai Marine. They work within the framework of the authority but operate independently and have their own budgets and resources which are mainly outsourced.

On a corporate level, RTA has two support organisational sectors namely the strategy and corporate governance sector and the corporate management sector. The strategy and corporate governance sector is responsible for planning and smooth functioning of all the departments, investments and audit and risk assessment, while the corporate management sector is responsible for information technology, human resource developments, marketing, corporate communications and legal affairs.
