The warning was issued by the Department of Economic Development in Ras Al Khaimah (DED).
Beauty salons have also been ordered to display the official rate list that was issued in June and July.
Customers, who feel they are being overcharged by beauty salons, have been urged to complain to the DED, and report the salons that do not display the official price list.
Shaikha Hussein Al Ali, Chief of the Consumer Protection Unit in the DED, said inspections were being carried out to monitor the rates charged by beauty salons.
She pointed out that during the festive season, salons usually increase the rates of their services, especially henna application.
