The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on Wednesday marked its 90th National Day with a massive air show, fireworks and concerts across the country.
The air show, which was the largest ever for the National Day celebrations, witnessed the participation of scores of military and civilian aircraft.
The show came as a result of long work and planning in which many government and private agencies participated to help enhance a day of which the Kingdom is proud.
The extravaganza witnessed the participation of the Ministry of Defence; the Ministry of Interior; the Ministry of Media; and the Presidency of the National Guard; Presidency of State Security; the Civil Aviation Authority; the Royal Saudi Air Force; and the Saudi Falcons team.
There was follow-up and coordination from the General Entertainment Authority (GEA), in addition to the Saudi Air Navigation Services (SANS), The Helicopter Company, Saudi Arabian Airlines and Flynas.
Meanwhile, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud of Saudi Arabia expressed his pride in the Kingdom and its loyal citizens.
As part of a tweet to congratulate the Saudi nation, as reported by Arab News the king said that he is looking forward to a "more beautiful" future. He also thanked God for security and stability in the Kingdom.
Earlier, King Salman addressed the 75th UN General Assembly, where he said that the Kingdom has chosen the "path of the future" through its Vision 2030 and called for peaceful coexistence and solidarity between countries.
He also called for a comprehensive solution on Iran and disarming its affiliate Hezbollah in Lebanon, and expressed support for US efforts to start talks between Israel and the Palestinians.
