Col. Turki Al Maliki, official spokesman of the Coalition to Restore Legitimacy in Yemen, has stated on Sunday that the Saudi Naval Forces detected an attempt by the terrorist Iranian-Houthi militia to target Port of Jazan.
The incident took place early Sunday morning when the Saudi Royal Navy forces spotted the movement of two remote control explosive boats heading toward the port of Jazan, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) quoted Al Maliki as saying.
"They were intercepted and destroyed according to the Rules of Engagement," the statement read.
He reaffirmed, "The Joint Forces Command of the Coalition will strike with iron fist all those involved in acts of terrorism which threaten the safety of Saudi nationals, residents, and the economy. Those hostile acts will not go by without holding the ones executing, plotting and planning them accountable for their actions."
