Munir Mahmood, Chairman of the Pakistan Professionals Wing (PPW), said the scholarship will support one student from the community who is passionate about journalism and will cover the entire year’s tuition fee.

“We want a youngster to represent Qudoos each year,” he said. A launch date for the scholarship will be announced soon. The PPW is a 135-member organisation established in 1987. Currently, the organisation is sponsoring 425 needy students studying in Pakistani schools.

The Pakistan Association Dubai (PAD) recently held a function to honour the services of Qudoos in which community members paid rich tributes. Ziaul Hassan, president of the PAD, said his dedication to his profession has earned him many friends in the UAE.
