AJMAN - Ajman Educational Zone has proposed a cut in expenditure, which has exceeded the budget set for the instructional material for schools in the zone.
Abdullah Obaid, Director of Ajman Educational Zone, said that needs of instructional materials for schools in the zone reached Dh3 million, while parent council's budget is not more than Dh600,000.
Therefore, Ajman Executive Council, in a meeting held recently in Ajman Educational Zone, proposed a cut in expenditure to Dh2 million, so that the council can arrange the amount at the beginning of the next academic year.
The meeting was attended by Ibrahim Ismael, member of the Executive Council in Ajman, and Hamad Sand, Deputy Director of Ajman Municipality, as well as by directors of the secondary schools in Ajman.
The participants called for arrangements of admissions for national students who obtained 90 per cent marks or more to colleges and universities in Ajman as per instructions from the executive council.
