Speaking to Khaleej Times, Dr Mustafa Sayed Al Hashmi, Director of Primary Health Centres at the Ministry of Health and who has recently been appointed the Director General for Al Wasl Hospital, said that only a few PHCs would be open till late. “This order has been given by the Minister of Health, Humaid Mohammad Obaid Al Qutami recently and it states that not all centres would be open except a few including the one in Hor Al Anz. This move will greatly benefit people and is meant to facilitate them,” he said. At present, there are 62 PHCs in the Northern Emirates.
