Seven shops ordered shut

ABU DHABI — The Food Inspection Department in the Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority (ADFCA) detected 60 violations concerning foodstuff quality and hygiene and ordered closure of seven shops in November for not adhering to the hygiene standards, said Mohammed Jalal Al Rayaysa, Manager of Communication and Information Department.

“The department destroyed 182kg of foodstuff and issued 957 warnings to food outlets, cafes and others, and seven food outlets were ordered closed,” added Al Reyaysa.

The department slapped fines on 60 restaurants, cafeterias, groceries, bakeries and cafes for various reasons.
