ISLAMABAD — Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) chief and Pakistan’s prime minister-in-waiting Nawaz Sharif on Tuesday evening visited injured chief of the Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaaf chief Imran Khan in Shaukat Khanam Hospital in Lahore and had brief cordial friendly chat with him.
“It was a very good meeting in a pleasant atmosphere,” Sharif later told reporters adding: “Both of us have made complete peace forgetting the bitterness of the election campaign.”
Sharif said he was glad to learn from Imran that he is recovering fast. “I hope to meet him again when leaves hospital. We decided to have working relationship in the larger interest of the country,” the PML-N chief said.
Sharif said Imran felicitated him on his party’s victory and in return he (Sharif) congratulated Imran for electoral success in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa. He said the PML-N respects the PTI’s mandate and legitimate right to form government there.
