Sharjah Police clearance certificates in two hours

The Sharjah Police will process criminal status certificates within 10 minutes and they will be issued in under two hours.

Colonel Jihad bin Sahoo, Director of the Criminal Investigation Department, said : “We have ... (entered into an agreement) ... with the Electronic and Communication department to ensure that the highest quality of smart and electronic services are offered to clients.”

Colonel Sahoo noted that applicants, who are Sharjah residents, can fill up the electronic form accessible at www.shjpolice.gov.ae, or by sending an SMS to 7999. The certificate will then be handed over to them within two hours.

“Applicants who are above 18 years of age must have their fingerprints scanned at the National Identity Authority. Applicants below 18 years of age must personally visit the special security office to have their fingerprints taken.”
