Sharjah Police Desert Park opens to public

The 800-square metre park has been constructed in the heart of the desert and is surrounded by majestic sand dunes in Al Kahaif.
Maj-Gen Al Shamsi said that the Sharjah Police Desert Park is an ideal place for families to have good times and enjoy the games and services available. He urged all segments of the society to participate in the activities at the park.
Speaking to Khaleej Times, the police chief said the desert park is the first of its kind in the country.

Initially, it was established as part of the police’s efforts to make its staff happy, but now it is open for the general public.
Since it was established in 2017, the park continues to draw families of various nationalities from different parts of the country.
The desert activities of the park would create an ideal environment for students to make a good use of their winter vacation and spend great times with their families.
The park is equipped with a children’s play area, a cycling track, desert train, separate majlis for men and women.
The park also boasts of a theatre and stage that can host all kinds of entertainment activities.
It also has designated grilling areas, food corners, a small zoo and football and volleyball courts.
The park in Al Kahaif area in Al Batayeh will be open for the general public from 5pm to 10pm every day.
