Lieutenant-General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, inspected the UAE troops as part of the 'Waves of the Gulf Duty' force in Bahrain.
He also delivered the regards of the President, His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan; and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai; and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, to the troops.
During his visit to the forces on Monday, he met and conversed with the troops, emphasising that they were representing the UAE in the best light, as they are the ambassadors of righteousness, goodness and peace.
Sheikh Saif stressed that terrorism, which had been committed in a series of acts recently in Bahrain, will only increase the UAE's determination face it with firmness, as the security of the Gulf is one. Sheikh Saif underlined that UAE forces are a source of pride for everyone, and are soldiers of justice and what is right.
The minister arrived in Bahrain on Monday afternoon and was received at the Manama Airport by Sheikh Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Bahraini Deputy Prime Minister, and a number of other officials.
