Sikhs residing in the UAE share their thoughts on Kartarpur Corridor

I think it is a very beautiful thought by Pakistan to open the doors for the Sikh community, and a very grand gesture on their part. This step is good for the UAE as well, as this further strengthens the ties between the Sikh and Pakistani community.
There is a grand celebration ready, where both communities will celebrate with each other. We already share a very strong bond with our Pakistani friends, and this further strengthens the bond we have. Everyone is looking forward to the Kartarpur Corridor opening up.
I think this is a great step for both nations and fosters positive feelings towards each other. It is heart-warming to see both nations try and make a positive effort in such times. Now, the rest depends on our response, as both nations have already taken a big step for the Sikh community.
The Pakistani government has also set up several arrangements for pilgrims entering the country, and this is being done with a lot of love and respect for the Sikh community, which is wonderful to see. I think this is a very beautiful and positive sign for all of us, and signals future promise for both nations.

The opening of the Kartarpur Corridor is really beneficial to the Sikh community as a whole, and is  also a sign of peace and success between the two nations.

I think this decision has the potential to improve Indo-Pakistan relations and strengthen ties between the two nations. Taking this step forward is positive for both countries. I know that both countries are doing their best to get the corridor open in time - November 12 is the birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, so the goal is to get the corridor open in time for the pilgrimage.
One stumbling block is the $20 fee that will be charged to each pilgrim who wishes to visit Kartarpur, and it can be difficult for poorer pilgrims to pay such a cost. I do question the security arrangements, food and sleeping arrangements. But the step of opening the Kartarpur corridor is a momentous one and must be celebrated in its own right.

We were living in Lahore before we migrated to India. I hope this works as a step towards further unity between the two nations, and I believe that Guru Nanak Dev Ji would have thought of this noble idea to bridge the difference between the masses in India and Pakistan.

Worship needs no visa and rightly so; the Kartarpur Corridor melts down the Indo-Pak border for devotees to get darshan of Darbar Sahib Gurdwara. The opening of the border is a momentous occasion for the community, and is an incredible opportunity for us all. On the year of Guru Nanak Dev Ji's 550th birth anniversary, this is a lifetime gift for the Sikh community.
