One park each would be set up in Al Zafrana, Al Moushrif, Al Karama and Al Mahrba along the Arabian Gulf Street, and two in the Al Butain area, said Abdul Aziz Al Jeraishi, Director of Parks and Recreational Facilities Section in Abu Dhabi Municipality.

The parks would be ready in nine months, he said, adding that the open spaces between the buildings in residential areas would be utilised for the purpose.

Al Jeraishi said the municipality had installed new games and fun facilities for children at the other parks in the capital.

There are 33 parks in Abu Dhabi, 12 inside the capital and 21 on its outskirts, beyond the Al Maqta Bridge.
