Comedy, magic, musical performances, aerial dance, balancing acts... bike shows, and even aliens, welcome visitors at the Dubai Marina Mall this week at a street art festival that started on April 3 and will go on until April 12.

A number of international artistes who have arrived from Italy, France, Japan, Canada, the UK, USA, and the Netherlands can be seen entertaining mall visitors every evening from 4pm to 10pm at Dome Atrium or even on the Promenade.

Italian comedian, juggler and mimer Andrea Farnetani can be seen entertaining crowds with his balancing acts using newspapers, cups, spoons and eggs, while another performer Ben Renard from France enthrals people with his swinging and acrobatic bike skills. The festival also promises a vanishing act by Billy Kidd, hostess of Discovery Channel’s popular series ‘Breaking Magic: The Magic of Science’.

With music being an integral part of any carnival or festival, this festival is no exception. Brien Engel will be seen enchanting the mall guests by playing Mozart and Beethoven melodies on a giant glass harp that is actually a collection of 50 drinking glasses.

And if that’s not enticing enough, Japanese artist Ryunosuke Yamazumi will offer juggling acts with giant balls coupled with powerful Chinese pole performance. Also, Maryeve Gaudreau and Caroline Ouellet-Rochefort from Canada will bring their pyro, hoop, and aerial dancing skills to the stage at the fourth edition of the spectacular Dubai Marina Street Festival at the popular lifestyle shopping destination of the Dubai Marina community.

We’re not going to tell you what else is in store, but you might want to keep a lookout for aliens.
